Terms for the FireCut Referrals Program
These terms and conditions ("Terms") apply to the FireCut Referral Program ("Program"). By sharing your referral code or using a referral code, you agree to these Terms.
1. Eligibility: The Program is open to existing FireCut customers with an active plan.
2. How to Refer: Share your unique referral code with friends who are not currently signed up for FireCut. To benefit from the Program, your friend must enter your referral code when signing up on the website using the "Got a referral code?" button (exact wording may vary). As the Program is currently in an experimentation stage, users are limited to 5 referrals.
3. Referral Rewards: Subject to these Terms, once your referred friend completes their first paid month with FireCut (either on a monthly or an annual plan) and both accounts are still active, both you (the referee) and your friend (the referred customer) will receive a reward. For monthly plans, this reward is a discount equivalent to 50% of the next monthly fee. For annual plans, this reward is one 100% free extra month at the end of the current annual pay period. These rewards are non-transferable, cannot be exchanged for cash or other benefits.
4. Restrictions: This Program is intended for personal use among friends and family. Therefore we have restrictions in place to prevent abuse of this scheme, and all referral rewards are at the discretion of FireCut. FireCut reserves the right to revoke or refuse issuing any credits and/or permanently banning associated accounts and users, if in our judgment, the Program is being abused. Example restrictions include:
- Self-referral: You may not create multiple accounts with FireCut to refer yourself or another member of your household, or to use FireCut on the same device used by the initial account.
- Abuse of Referrals: The Program is intended for personal use among friends and family. Referral codes may not be published or distributed on commercial sites (such as coupon websites), social media platforms, or other public forums or used for commercial purposes.
5. Public or Group Sharing: The referral program is designed for personal referrals to friends and family. If you wish to share a referral with an audience or community of members, you are not eligible for this referral program and should instead apply for our affiliate program by contacting affiliates@firecut.ai.
6. Non-Eligibility of Existing Users: The referral program is intended to introduce new users to FireCut. Existing users are not eligible to be referred for additional individual plans. If an existing user terminates their current plan and attempts to use a referral code to start a new plan, affected accounts may be subject to a ban and this reward cannot be redeemed.
7. Teams: The referral program is exclusively for individual FireCut customers. Teams or business accounts are encouraged to purchase the dedicated Team plan which offers its own set of benefits and discounts. Any attempts to use the referral program for team usage will result in disqualification from the Program.
8. Termination and Changes: FireCut reserves the right to terminate the Program or to change these Terms at any time without notice. If the Program is terminated, any discounts earned (fully matured) prior to termination will be honored.
9. No Illegal Activity: Engaging in activities that are fraudulent, illegal, or in violation of these Terms is prohibited. Such activities may result in the termination of your FireCut account and participation in the Program.
10. Limitation of Liability: FireCut is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information supplied by customers while participating in the Program.
11. General Conditions: Participation in the Program constitutes full and unconditional agreement to these Terms. Decisions made by FireCut regarding the Program are final and binding.
12. Privacy: Participants agree that personal data may be processed, shared, and otherwise used for the purposes and within the context of the Program. Data may also be used by FireCut to verify a participant's identity, postal address, and telephone number, or to otherwise verify eligibility to participate in the Program.
