Word splitting: You can split words in the transcript by adding a space and applying edits, FireCut now treats them as separate words

Box opacity: You can make the "box" effect see-through by setting an opacity (previously was always solid)

Custom save location: You can now pick where to save your caption and B-roll files

Local characters capitalisation: FireCut now uses the correct upper-case representation of characters based on the selected language, e.g. i becomes İ if language is set to Turkish)

Zoom improvements: Zooms now let you pick the focus / center point, and also pick different easing functions for smoother zooms

Warnings before dangerous operations: If you're trying to do an operation that will take a long time / may cause a crash, FireCut will try to warn you at the start and give the option to proceed anyway if you like -- e.g. if you try to process a long sequence as a WAV (which can cause FC to run out of memory), if you try to cut lots of tiny silences which can cause your sequence to slow down, etc.
